SBI PO 2021 – Eligibility Criteria

The most awaited SBI PO 2021 Recruitment Notification released officially. State Bank of India (SBI) has rolled out the official notification for the recruitment of Probationary Officers (PO) on its official site. There are a total of 2000+ vacancies for the PO post in the State Bank of India has been released under SBI PO 2021 Recruitment. The SBI PO Notification 2021 contains all important details such as the exam date, eligibility criteria; apply online details, salary, exam pattern, selection process, syllabus and more. The selection criteria are derived in 3 different stages which are preliminary examination, Mains examination, and interview. Candidates selected after the interview round for the post of probationary officers are liable to be posted anywhere in India.

SBI PO eligibility criteria are defined under two stages which are age limit criteria and educational qualification. In order to apply for SBI PO 2021 exam, you need to fulfil the following SBI PO eligibility criteria-

1. SBI PO Nationality: Candidates with Indian Nationality would only be allowed to participate in the SBI PO 2021 examination as per the eligibility norms mentioned by the organization. In short, a person has to be a citizen of India to be eligible for this recruitment.

2. Age Eligibility (as on 01.04.2021.)

To acknowledge the SBI PO age limit criteria is important before applying for the exam. The candidate applying for the SBI PO exam should be of the age group 21 years to 30 years as on 01.04.2021. There is also the provision for age relaxation for certain categories of aspirants.

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 30 years

3. Educational Qualification for SBI PO 2021

As per the SBI PO 2021 notification, candidates require to fulfill SBI PO educational qualification subject to norms of the organization (as on 31.12.2021):

• Those candidates who are interested in applying for the post of PO must be a graduate in any discipline from a state or central recognized university or possess any other equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
• Candidates who are in their final semester/year are also eligible to apply but they will have to mention the result stating pass on the date mentioned by the organization.
• Candidates will have to present the proof of passing their graduation or having the graduation degree as pass as per the deadline stipulated by the bank
• Aspirants who have pursued an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate must ensure about the date of passing should be as per the date bounded by the organizing authority.
• Candidates with the degree of Chartered Accountant are also eligible to apply for the SBI PO recruitment process.

Percentage Calculation under Educational Qualification

Candidates must make sure that they are filling the application form according to SBI PO percentage criteria as marks will be considered according to this only.

• The candidature will be cancelled if the mark sheet or provisional certificate issued by the University/Institute is not in accordance with the date mentioned by the bank. The result of any examination posted on the website of the University/Institute will be taken as the final date of passing that exam or semester.
• The candidate should indicate the percentage obtained in Graduation calculated to the nearest two decimals in the online application where CGPA/ OGPA is awarded, the same should be converted into the percentage and indicated in the online application.
• If called for the interview, an aspirant will have to show the original certificate issued under the concerned authority stating the norms of the university regarding the conversion of grade into percentage and the percentage of marks scored by the candidate
• Calculation of Percentage: The percentage will be calculated by the marks arrived in the mark sheet and dividing the total marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects in all semester(s)/year(s) by aggregate maximum marks in all the subjects irrespective of honours/optional/additional optional subject, if any. Marks obtained in a fraction of percentage will be ignored i.e. 59.99% will be treated as less than 60% and 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%.
