There are a total of 2000+ vacancies for the PO post in the State Bank of India has been released under SBI PO 2021 Recruitment. The SBI PO Notification 2021 contains all important details such as the exam date, eligibility criteria; apply online details, salary, exam pattern, selection process, syllabus and more. The selection criteria are derived in 3 different stages which are preliminary examination, Mains examination, and interview. Candidates selected after the interview round for the post of probationary officers are liable to be posted anywhere in India.

The Selection Procedure of SBI PO involves the following phases-

• Preliminary Exam (Objective)
• Mains Exam (Objective + Descriptive)
• Group Exercise and Interview

• For Biometric Verification, the bank will take your digital thumb impression to check your authenticity.
• Any discrepancy in your biometric data may lead to rejection and legal actions against you.

SBI PO Selection Process 2021 - Phase 1

The Prelims exam date of SBI PO 2021 is tentatively scheduled to be held on November/December 2021 as per the official notification. The SBI PO Phase 1 Exam is an online objective test of 100 marks and 60 Minutes duration in which a total of 100 questions will be asked.

• There is a sectional timing of 20 Minutes for each section
• There will be no sectional Cutoff in Prelims Exam

Exam Pattern of SBI PO Prelims 2021 -

How will the candidates get selected in SBI PO Mains Exam 2021 for further process?

• The candidates will be shortlisted for Main Examination from a list of the total number of candidates who appeared for the Prelim Examination 
• The number of candidates to be shortlisted for SBI PO Mains will be decided by the SBI based on the vacancies available. In each category, the number of candidates to be selected for the next phase (Main Examination) will be approximately 10 times the number of total vacancies.
• The Marks obtained in the Prelim Exam will not be added anywhere in the selection procedure. 

SBI PO Selection Process 2021 - Phase 2

This is the second phase of the SBI PO Recruitment 2021. The candidates who will clear the Main Examination will be moved further to the GE and Interview round. 

The Main Examination will consist of both, the Objective and the Descriptive Test. The objective test will be of 200 marks and Descriptive Test will carry a total of 50 marks. Both the tests will be conducted online. Candidates have to answer the Descriptive test by typing on their keyboards. Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after completion of the Objective Test.

Exam Pattern for SBI PO Mains Exam 2021 –

Descriptive Test: The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with two questions for 50 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay).

How will the candidates get selected for SBI PO 2021 GE & Interview process?

• Category wise merit list will be drawn on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in the Main Examination
• Candidates numbering up to 3 times (approximately) of the category wise vacancies will be shortlisted for the Group Exercise & Interview from the top of the merit list, subject to a candidate scoring a minimum qualifying score in aggregate

SBI PO Selection Process 2021 - Phase 3

• Group Discussion will be of 20 Marks
• An interview will be of 30 Marks
• Candidates qualifying for GD & Interview under the 'OBC' category would be required to submit an OBC certificate containing the 'Non-Creamy layer' clause. Candidates not submitting the OBC certificate containing the 'Non Creamy layer' clause and requesting to be interviewed under the General category will not be entertained.
